![]() Side note, I've noticed with this transmission (granted I've learned and drove an older vehicle for years before getting a brand new car) that while upshifting into the next gear you'll feel some resistance, but if you guide it to the right position and a featherlight touch it'll eventually "suck" itself into the next gear once the synchros are happy. if it's not super butter smooth with zero resistance I wouldn't worry all that much, unless you're trying to force it in gear and you're about to bend the linkages right before it pops into gear. Now if it feels like you're trying to force it like you're pushing against a brick wall then there's probably an issue and you should head over to the dealership to see what's going on as it's clearly still under warranty. It only has 600 miles on the odometer, so either it hasn't broken in 100% or it's just how the transmission is designed. This shifter is compatible with Perrin shift stop as well as the factory STI. That sporty, crisp, short throw is only one purchase away. If you want the OEM shifter look, but just need to reduce your throws a little, the TPB Performance short throw shifter is a great product for you.
